Improving your EcoVadis Score: From Bronze to Platinum
An initial EcoVadis assessment often results in a bronze medal. While this is a good starting point, major clients expect silver or gold for preferred supplier status. The key lies in targeted improvement: analyzing where you lost points, refining documentation, and implementing operational enhancements. Scores can thus increase by 12 to 20 points after a reassessment.

On average, target submission takes 3 to 6 months for large enterprises (including Scope 3) and 2 to 3 months for SMEs (typically only Scope 1 & 2). There is usually a waiting period of 2 to 3 months at SBTi before validation is completed.
Strictly speaking, no. EcoVadis provides an assessment and scorecard, not a certificate like ISO 14001. Nevertheless, the term "EcoVadis certificate" is widely used. In practice, an EcoVadis medal functions in the same way: as recognized proof of your sustainability performance that you can share with clients and partners.
