5 steps to SBTi validation
Intake and context
We map your emissions profile, sector, and data quality. We define organizational boundaries, relevant scopes, and categories in accordance with SBTi requirements.
Target type selection
We help you determine which targets and any sub-targets are applicable to your organization: near-term, net-zero, and sector-specific (e.g., FLAG).
CO2 footprint calculation
We help you calculate your CO2 footprint or review your existing calculations. Together, we assess whether they are ready for validation by SBTi.
Reduction pathway calculation
We develop science-based targets with a corresponding reduction pathway. We translate this into practice and what it means at an operational and strategic level.
Submission and validation
We provide the necessary support for formal submission and inquiries from SBTi.

In most cases, yes, unless you are an SME. We determine what is relevant and feasible and, if necessary, also help you with the Scope 1 & 2 calculations of your CO2 footprint.
FLAG refers to emissions from Forestry, Land use & Agriculture. They are mandatory to calculate for companies in land-intensive sectors. The target group primarily consists of businesses in food processing (including beverages), food sales, forestry, paper production, and agriculture.
Yes. We provide support with follow-up, monitoring, reporting, and action plan implementation.
Absolutely. Many SMEs think that SBTi is too complex and unachievable, but that's not true. The simplified SME pathway makes SBTi accessible to smaller companies at a manageable cost.
