Training Program: Sustainability in Practice for Companies in Food, Feed & Agri
About this training
Retailers are increasingly sending ESG questionnaires to their suppliers. They ask for EcoVadis scores, CO₂ data, insights into your sustainability policy, and product-level sustainability. Everyone asks for something different. But how do you keep this workload manageable and clear? Around which framework should you actually build your sustainability management system?
This training program teaches you in one intensive day session and one digital follow-up session how to lay the foundation for your internal sustainability plan and concrete action plans, and how to efficiently make this information available to your customers. With practical tools, templates, and checklists that you can apply immediately.
A collaboration between Mantis Consulting, AMNorman and Fevia., with the support of VLAIO, partner in education and training.

Why now?
Many companies are overwhelmed by the sustainability questionnaires coming their way.
The European Omnibus Regulation reduces the group of companies legally required to report. But the market isn't waiting. Large retailers and buyers continue to demand sustainability data from their suppliers, regardless of whether your company falls under CSRD. The ING sustainability survey (2025) shows that 40% of business leaders are concerned about the feasibility of sustainability. For smaller family businesses without a dedicated sustainability manager, this pressure is felt even more acutely.
This program teaches you how to turn that pressure into a workable plan.
What exactly will you learn?
- Understanding and applying reporting standards
CSRD, VSME, EcoVadis: what's relevant for your company? You'll learn the differences, overlaps, and which standard best suits your situation and that of your customers. Which framework should you use to build your sustainability management system? - From analysis to action plan
You'll learn how to identify the impact, risks, and opportunities for your organization and translate them into a concrete step-by-step plan with clear priorities. - Answering retailer questions
You'll learn how to complete ESG questionnaires from retailers efficiently and accurately. Set up the foundation correctly once, then reuse it for various questionnaires. - Setting up data collection
What data do you need, where do you get it, and how do you set up a workable monitoring system? - Hands-on work with tools and templates
Case studies from the food sector show how other companies have tackled the same challenges. You'll work with concrete tools that you can immediately apply in your own organization.
